Buyer safety & prohibited listings

Before you pay

  • Meet the seller in a busy public place, ideally during the day.
  • Inspect the phone fully: screen, cameras, speakers, charging, buttons, Face ID / fingerprint.
  • Check the IMEI (dial *#06#) matches the box and verify it through official PTA channels such as DIRBS.
  • Never pay in advance or send money to a seller you have not met.
  • Ask for the original box, purchase receipt or warranty card where possible.

Prohibited listings

  • Stolen, snatched, robbed or otherwise unlawfully obtained phones.
  • Counterfeit or replica devices presented as genuine.
  • Listings with false PTA claims or misleading descriptions.
  • Duplicate listings for the same device.
  • Phones you do not have the legal right to sell.
